Initiative from the University of Cyprus’ R&I Centre of Excellence among the winners of the YERUN Open Science Awards 2022

The Open Knowledge Initiative by the KIOS Centre of Excellence of the University of Cyprus is one of the five winners of YERUN (the Young European Research Universities Network) Open Science Awards 2022. The winners were announced during a ceremony on the 14th of February.
The KIOS Centre of Excellence launched the Open Knowledge Initiative in 2017 to openly disseminate scientific results beyond the traditional academic dissemination channels.
According to KIOS’ website, “The Open Knowledge pillar has a significant impact on the way research is shared and knowledge is managed within the KIOS CoE, thus enhancing scientific excellence.”
