The UNICA President, Luciano Saso, has been nominated member of the Council of the prestigious Virchow Prize for Global Health!
The Virchow Foundation for Global Health is an independent non-profit foundation aimed at raising awareness of global health issues in a holistic approach, addressing all sectors of society, in order to improve health and well-being conditions.
Focusing on the understanding of the complex interrelationships between medical, political, economic and social determinants, the Virchow Foundation for Global Health Council is comprised of members with diverse expertise and competencies, across sectors (academia, civil society, politics, international organisations, private) and global representation.

About the Virchow Prize for Global Health
Virchow Prize for Global Health aims to incentivize and spur great minds in their commitment to global health. Laureates of the Virchow Prize for Global Health will be awarded an endowment of €500,000 for their longstanding commitment and contributions towards improving health and well-being for all.
